Capybaras are the largest rodent in the world. They have large, scary, dangerous looking teeth that can do some damage but, in all reality they are very kind and friendly animals.


Native from South America in places like columbia and venezuela, the big rodent has a normal diet of grass and their own poop, they eat their own poo, yes. Disgusting. An adult Capybara can eat upto 2.7 to 3.6 kgs of grass per day they also occasionally eat, reeds,grains,melons and squashes.


Female Capybaras are normally pregnant pregnant for 5 to 6 months and can usually have one litter per year consisting of 3 go 5 pups. Baby Capybaras are commonly looked after by all females in the group since they are such an easy target for jaguars. Babies will eat their mother's milk to 15 to 17 weeks though they will start to graze a few days after birth.


These rodents tend to live by the water where it is surrounded by a thick blanket of trees and scrubs. So you will commonly find these rodents in placing consisting of lakes, rivers, swamps, ponds and marshes and sometimes in flooded savannas along rivers in the tropical rainforest.


These fascinating creatures are actually illegal to keep as pets in many states. In states of the likes of texas and pennsylvania they are legal to own. They are also legal in other states but require licenses to own. So even though they are kind and friendly creatures think twice before you decide to bring one home.


So in conclusion Capybaras are friendly and cute animals but there is alot to them and a lot of restrictions and a number of extents about this cuddly rodent

Current New Zealanders still indulge in the traditional Māori dishes, Māori kai continues to elaborate.

Customary Māori diet

The Māori diet was based on birds and fish, augmented by stray herbs and roots.

In their tribal gardens, Māori also grew root crops, like potato and kumara (sweet potato).

Māori hangi ovens look like this they are big groups of kai (food) cooked underground in thermal areas in like Rotorua. they go in deep pits for a long time.

During this term, what have you learnt in algebra? 

I have learnt that it is easier than it looks. When we first started learning about algebra i was scared because it looked so hard but now i understand it and it has become easier and easier.

What are your next steps?

To do harder types of algebra and also be able to do it faster than i can usually.

Achievement objective (Level 4): Find fractions, decimals, and percentages of amounts expressed as whole numbers, simple fractions, and decimals

Learning intention: We are learning to find fractions of whole numbers

in this video I showed you how to find 1/4 of 34.
Here, I explained that to find 1/4 of 34 I did this;
I halved 34 first so to do this I this I did 1/2 of 30 = 15 and half of 4 = 2
Then I added 15 and 2 together to make 17 then from that 17 I halved that too, to do this I halved 16 to make 8 and then I added .5 to the 8 to make 8.5 so the answer is,
1/4 of 34 = 8.5 and that is how I did it.

                         Knick Knack Narrative

My life, spent trapped in a dome shaped prison, glass cascading down all around me. Blondey, I see her peering over at me. I try to get out of this torturing dome I call home. I try and try again finally though, I give up, I can't do it, im never getting out. What's happening? Im slipping! Whooshh! I fall off the shelf. Ploshh! I summerdge straight into the fish tank. I look around. My glass dome? Where is it? Its gone! I'm free!! I see a scaly mermaid type figure, I can't walk. I am astonished she is gorgeous! Have my eyes betrayed me? Suddenly I start to feel a rush of cold air bubbles pop against my rough yet soft snowy coat of say “skin?” its snow of course. Crush! MY dome! Wait my dome.. Its back.. The glass.. Surrounding me… Again… for good… Here we go again a gigantic sigh rises upon the room filled with decor.
