Capybaras are the largest rodent in the world. They have large, scary, dangerous looking teeth that can do some damage but, in all reality they are very kind and friendly animals.


Native from South America in places like columbia and venezuela, the big rodent has a normal diet of grass and their own poop, they eat their own poo, yes. Disgusting. An adult Capybara can eat upto 2.7 to 3.6 kgs of grass per day they also occasionally eat, reeds,grains,melons and squashes.


Female Capybaras are normally pregnant pregnant for 5 to 6 months and can usually have one litter per year consisting of 3 go 5 pups. Baby Capybaras are commonly looked after by all females in the group since they are such an easy target for jaguars. Babies will eat their mother's milk to 15 to 17 weeks though they will start to graze a few days after birth.


These rodents tend to live by the water where it is surrounded by a thick blanket of trees and scrubs. So you will commonly find these rodents in placing consisting of lakes, rivers, swamps, ponds and marshes and sometimes in flooded savannas along rivers in the tropical rainforest.


These fascinating creatures are actually illegal to keep as pets in many states. In states of the likes of texas and pennsylvania they are legal to own. They are also legal in other states but require licenses to own. So even though they are kind and friendly creatures think twice before you decide to bring one home.


So in conclusion Capybaras are friendly and cute animals but there is alot to them and a lot of restrictions and a number of extents about this cuddly rodent

Learning Outcomes:

This term we have been learning how to play some new songs on the keyboard, guitar, ukulele and the bucket drums.

We learnt to play the song “Sunflower” using chords on the ukulele.

We also learnt how to read guitar tab and we played “Eye of the Tiger”.

On the keyboard we had the opportunity to learn to play lots of songs including the Minecraft theme, the Avengers theme, the Halo theme, the Game of thrones theme and many more.

The instrument I enjoy playing the most is… Piano

I liked playing this instrument the most because… Its just like keyboard but piano is more sympthetic.

Next time I would like to learn to play... Moonlight by XXXtentacion.

• To ‘Show, Don’t Tell’ the reader by painting a picture with words.

Looking at the giant swing i wonder, frightened will it break?, will the mechanics fail?
Can i trust these runners? I see pine trees rustling and runners running to the third level.
I hear the instructor yelling to the runners and the runners yelling back. I smell fear.
I could feel butterflies in my stomach as i feel the caribeana clicking as i start to fall.
I taste the adrenaline rushing through my body as i feel like i am going to throw up like
i am on a roller coaster also because of the pine particles in my mouth but still fear!
I wonder if i am going to enjoy it?.

Student Reflection: As I was writing this piece i realized that i had done my goal it was using complex sentences so I went to Mrs Gilmore for her to sign off my goal after that i had felt accomplished and felt that this piece was my best. In writing one of my goals is: Use complex sentences. I did/did not show this goal here because I did use this goal because if you read it properly you will see. In writing one of my goals is: Organise writing into paragraphs with related ideas. I did/did not show this goal here because I did not use this goal because in my book and in my writing i did not try/do it because i did not understand how to in this type of writing. My next step is My next step is to try to use all my goals in my next piece of writing and try my hardest and i hope i get one fully signed off at the end of the term. Teacher Comment: Ashleigh, I like the way that you have used show not tell. You have shown me exactly how you feel as if I was there myself.
